Rich directed the critically acclaimed opening episode of ITV's brand new detective drama McDonald & Dodds. Set in the beautiful Georgian city of Bath, the story follows blisteringly ambitious South London cop DCI Lauren McDonald (Tala Gouveia) who is unexpectedly partnered with the bumbling bespectacled DS Dodds (Jason Watkins) to solve bewildering crimes. Inspired by classic crime dramas like Columbo, the feature-length investigation is a light-hearted, modern whodunnit for Sunday nights produced by Mammoth Screen.  It was the most-watched show of the night, pulling in 6.4 million viewers and a 26% audience share.
